Putting the "Big" back in Big Name Author...

Ok, back from toiling in the earth. Not that I did a whole lot of that anyway, all I did was clean the pool and put the Slip N Slide up.

So back to my favorite things.

Two favorite "classic" crooners: Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra.

One of my favorite Bobby Darin songs is "Mack the Knife." Has anyone ever actually read the lyrics to this song? It's actually about a mob hit. Which cracks me up, it's got such an upbeat tempo... and he's talking about cement bags.

And you gotta love Frank. Just because any man who can sing the lyrics, "coo coo kachoo," and still chase after skirts the way Frank was... hats off.

Let's talk about my favorite things.  I mean, this group is all about me, right?

Favorite comedian of all time?  I have two:  Buster Keaton and Phil Silvers.

    

Favorite singer?

Eminem, of course.  I know some people take issue with him.  I never truly appreciated battle rapping until I became an improvisational actress, and I started really listening to Em and what he was doing with the words, and he's amazing.



Favorite dancer? 

Gene Kelly.  I always felt like I could break Fred Astair in two.




More of my favorite stuff later.  I'm being forced to work in the blazing sun now. 

I'm sorry, little fan club, for my neglect. I know I havent been paying attention lately, but I've been a bit busy, what with trying to take over the world and all. I promise that I am throwing my attention completely back to you, minions. I need to maintain my Big Name Author status. In case you've forgotten how awesome I am, let me remind you... I'm awesome. Remember?

Arabella is in charge of stars. She couldnt find a pic. Since she's a Hufflepuff, all hail Cedric, the greatest Hufflepuff of them all!

I can't remember what Chloe's job is. It's really important, whatever it is. It probably involves doing those things that people do in Olympia and Austin that I don't do.

It would hae been worth it, to get clocked by Alan Rickman.

I can't remeber if Dani actually joined the group or not. The problem is the requirment regarding McDonalds. Vegetarians, for some reason, try to steer clear of it. Who knew? In any case, I am hereby drafting her to be our cabana girl. The reason for this is she has great fashion sense AND she makes an amazing chicken tortilla soup.

And then there's Stephanie Barff, director of German Relations. Or, as we call her: Shalimar_1981. She's a fantastic hostess. I stayed with her for 3 days when I visited Europe last week. Bavarian cuisine!



And you can't talk about Shalimar without talking about Izzy.

So the next member of our exclusive and prestigious group is Karelia. She is also known as Ladyinthecloak. I don't know why she has so many names. She's my beloved beta. She puts up with me. I don't know how to use ellipses properly. And I hate capitalizing things that have no business being capitalized, except that JK Rowling said they should be. The first member that we ever actually inducted into the group is Sunshine. Yes, that is her real name, unlike Penny who is just called Sunny because she's just that sort of person. Anyway, Sunshine is Cajun. She's an admin at The Petulant Poetess. She's awesome. She made this cool banner for me. She also made the official FART logo.

So the founder of this little group is Penny Wytenburg MB. ChB; Dip. Comm. Em. Med; F.R.N.Z.C.G.P, who is a doctor at Redwoodtown Doctors in Blenheim, New Zealand, and mother of four. Yeah, that's a really long bunch of letters isn't it. Something about being a Fellow at the Royal New Zealand College of General Practioners. We just call her Sunny33. And she doesn't look shifty at all.

The Fangirl Association for Robbi (Texas), otherwise known as F.A.R.T. hereby formally invite you to apply to join our membership.

Appropriate standards of behaviour are expected for all F.A.R.T fangirls, which include:

1.     Immediate Squeeing upon notification of the posting of a new chapter of “Wicked Fun”

2.   Full homage to be paid to the Ruler of our Association, to whit: Ms Robbi Holman

3.   Big Macs and Fries only to be consumed in the presence of our Esteemed Ruler.

Should you decide to proceed with this application, please forward a complete list of our Esteemed Ruler’s works that you have read and reviewed for consideration. Anything less than 90% coverage would be deemed inadequate for the purposes of membership. Two used McDonalds containers should also be photographed and submitted to verify the applicant’s devotion to our Esteemed Ruler.
